Objectives of the year
The main objective of the year is to improve your oral skills in English.
To achieve this, we will focus on physical activities and discuss different aspects of them : technique, strategy, rules, equipment, training.
You will have to learn specific vocabulary about sports, but also general vocabulary useful in everyday life. You will also need to acquire knowledge about sports.
Each student has particular objectives, depending on his/her level :
- build a correct simple sentence
- build a complex sentence
- speak fluently
- improve your accent
- better understand spoken English
- think directly in English...
The 3 secrets to improve your English :
- be interested in what you do (English and sport, be curious)
- take time to learn (vocabulary, knowledge, sentences)
- practise, practise and practise again (speak, listen, read, write, watch videos, browse the internet in English). You must make the most of any opportunity to practise, in class but also on your own.
Never forget that being in the euro class is a good way to improve your English, but only if you're active, or else, it won't be as effective.
At the end of the year, you can freely choose to quit the euro section or to continue it. In this case, you commit yourself to continuing until the final exam in terminale.
